INTERNSHIP IN CAMBODIA – 2018

We’re on the search for a talented and passionate young person who is willing to commit several months in 2018 to an internship position in Cambodia (exact timing is flexible). Our ideal candidate will have a tertiary degree (or be working towards one), as well as great ideas around how they could apply their knowledge and skills in the developing region of Stung Treng.

This is your chance to bring your own flavour and skill-set to the mission field. Perhaps you are business-minded and keen to assist under-resourced entrepreneurs, or maybe you have great leadership and teaching skills and would like to help tutor underprivileged kids. Or are you a media-savvy creative-type who is eager to tell stories through blogs and video? Of course we are open to other possibilities too, so think about what you could bring to the position!

Asian Outreach staff in Cambodia would work alongside you to help you get the most out of your stay, and also offer you lots of opportunities to “get your hands dirty” outside your area of expertise. This will no doubt be a chance to grow in character and faith, and we hope this “real world” experience will also add to your CV and open up job prospects for you when you return home.

Asian Outreach will organise and pay for our successful candidate’s accommodation, while they will be responsible for airfares and living costs (which are relatively low compared to in NZ).

If you think God might be calling you to serve the people of Cambodia and have a great adventure at the same time, then get in touch! Please email glenn@asianoutreach.org.nz. Or if you know someone who might be right for this posting, then please share this opportunity with them!

Also, check out this insightful interview with Sam Darby (our 2016 intern) to get the perspective of someone who has been there.
