Short Term Missions

We regularly take small teams on mission trips to Asia, most commonly Cambodia and Mongolia. Team members have the chance to observe and participate in a range of ministry and social-development projects. Check out the videos  page for a taste of what you could get up to!

Contact glenn@asianoutreach.org.nz for more information about what trips are in the pipeline and start praying about whether it’s time for you to join one! Also, if you’re responsible for (or are part of) a group wanting to travel together, e.g. through a school or church, get in touch! We can explore the options of organising an itinerary and leading your team.

Volunteer Roles

International
Currently The Hope Centre (our main base in Cambodia) needs English teachers! Asian Outreach Cambodia is also looking for communications and guest coordinators. Whatever your experience level or availability, get in touch with Emily (emilyreidaoc@gmail.com) to explore the opportunity further!

Board Members
We’re on the hunt for experienced people with a passion for mission who’d like to contribute to AONZ at a Board level. Perhaps you have business, marketing, fundraising or pastoral skills or maybe you’re a devoted intercessor who can commit to championing our organisation in prayer.  We want to hear from you! Email admin@asianoutreach.org.nz.

Fundraising

Did you know that people are 10 times more likely to give to a cause when prompted by someone they know? So we love it when our supporters help us fundraise! Join our AONZ Ambassador Network facebook group to get notifications about fundraising campaigns we need your social-media support with.  Or check out the projects listed under the Current Fundraisers tab and choose one to present about to your homegroup.

If you’re keen to invest more energy into fundraising on our behalf then email us (admin@aonz.org.nz) and we’ll brainstorm some ideas together. You could for example, host a movie premiere, seek sponsorship for some kind of race/event with AONZ as your nominated charity, or collect old car batteries to be sold for scrap metal (like one of our supporters already does)!

Become a Prayer Partner

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” – James 5:16
Will you join with us in prayer for God’s grace, guidance and provision over our work here in NZ and in Asia? We need people to intercede for our staff, our missionaries, our ministries and the nations where we work.

Join our Partners in Prayer network by subscribing to receive regular notifications of prayer-requests and testimonies from the mission field.

Invest

What a privilege it is to join financial forces with generous kiwis who donate towards our missionaries, our projects and our NZ office.

Mission on this scale doesn’t just happen without money.  If we want unreached people groups to hear about Jesus, we need to invest! If we want people in developing nations to break free from the poverty-cycle, we need to invest. If we want to help disciple new believers in restricted nations, we need to invest. Will you invest in AONZ so we can continue to achieve all these incredible things with our almighty God.  Consider becoming a  Backbone Supporter today!

Become a Church Liaison

Is your church currently supporting a missionary? Do they want to? Do members of your youth group want to go on a short term mission? Are there prayer warriors in your congregation that want to intercede for the nations?
Be the connector between AONZ and your church! We are happy to meet you and your pastors to discuss what this might look like. Email admin@asianoutreach.org.nz to get the conversation started.
