What Is The Stoke Team?

Just as a fire needs stoking to keep it burning, AONZ couldn’t keep our mission thriving without The Stoke Team. These faithful Kiwis help cover our essential running costs by donating weekly, monthly, or annually to our NZ office. Their generosity builds the capacity we need to grow our ministries and impact more lives in Cambodia and Mongolia with God’s love.

Stoke Team members aren’t just giving to keep the lights on — they’re part of something bigger. 

How Are Stoke Donations Spent?

We don’t like wasting money on admin any more than you do. Our small team works from home-offices to keep overheads low, making sure as much funding as possible goes straight into transforming lives overseas.

But behind our outreach, there’s essential work that needs doing. The Stoke Team’s donations help our staff to:

  • Plan fundraising campaigns and create content to grow our reach 
  • Organise events 
  • Support our local partners in the field 
  • Speak at churches across NZ 
  • Organise and facilitate group trips so Kiwis can experience mission first-hand 
  • Run our Mission Minded Kids course in Christian schools 
  • Grow our supporter network and strengthen donor engagement 

All of this fuels the mission and helps AONZ extend the reach of the gospel into new communities.

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Yes! If you’re registered with the IRD in New Zealand, your Stoke donations are tax-deductible — meaning a third of what you give comes back to you at tax rebate time.

How Much Should I Donate?

That’s completely up to you. Many of our Stoke Team members set up regular donations — for example, $10 per week or $20 per month — but any amount is welcome. We understand life changes, and your giving can too — so don’t worry, you’re never locked in.

One-off donations are also very welcome.
