Time for a new set of wheels!

The trusty Toyota Hilux Ute that Asian Outreach Cambodia (AOC) staff have used for the past 15 years is no longer so trust-worthy! It’s time for a replacement! A reliable vehicle is an essential mission-partner in rural Cambodia. The rugged roads turn to dust in summer and mud in winter. And with the current Ute frequently breaking down and needing regular repairs, the team are losing confidence in its ability to get them out to the villages and back to Stung Treng safely.

Our goal is to raise NZ$30,000 (while Asian Outreach North America gets busy doing the same). It’s a big chunk of money but if we all chip in whatever we can afford, then together we can gift the AOC team the new set of wheels they deserve!

The Ute is a non-negotiable part of Asian Outreach’s ministry in Cambodia. It transports staff to visit schools, families, pastors, government officials and water wells. It transports short term mission teams who come to serve with AOC – in fact, hundreds of kiwis have seen rural Cambodia from the back of the current Ute! It transports building-materials, machinery, kids and anyone else needing a ride to the Hope Centre for training and activities!

Time to donate!

Whether you can afford $1000, $100 or $10, we are so grateful for your contribution! As 2-Corinthians 9:7 reminds us: “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” We really hope that giving towards this tangible cause – a vehicle used to advance God’s Kingdom in Cambodia – brings you joy and satisfaction.
